This low protein halloween recipe is the perfect thing to do with the whole family on the run up to Halloween. This Tropical Halloween Lantern is free for MSUD and ideal for those on a low protein diet.

Ingredients

  • 1 Watermelon
  • 1 Pineapple, peeled and diced

Method

  1. Slice off the bottom of the watermelon to enable it to sit flat on a plate.
  2. Using a knife carve a circle into the top of the watermelon, remove and keep aside as a lid.
  3. Scoop out the insides of the watermelon and chop into pieces.
  4. Carve a Halloween face into your watermelon.
  5. Fill with the watermelon and pineapple chunks and allow to spill onto the plate.
